Friday 7/10 at 10:00 am – PACKING DAY

  • Due to social distancing we cannot have our usual “packing party” type event.
  • I will need at least 5 people to help pack.
  • Need at least 1 or 2 strong guys to help move the packaged boxes to the fellowship hall.


Saturday 7/11 – DISTRIBUTION DAY

  • Distribution time: 10:00 am – 1:30 pm
  • Volunteers register for an hour at a time
  • Four Stations:
    • Station 1- Check in Tent (2 people per time block)
      • Check In – check people in as they enter the parking lot
      • Traffic – Direct cars where to enter the line for distribution and make sure that traffic flows safely in and out of the parking lot
    • Station 2 – Prayer Team Tent (3 people per time block)
      • Prayer Team – ask individuals if they have prayer needs and answer any questions they have about the church
      • Toy Distribution – distribute toys to any children present (Ideally, I would like this to be some of the parents and children from our children’s ministry)
      • Survey taker/backup prayer team: Ask the individuals about the clothes closet and what other needs they think need to be met in the community and backup to the prayer team
    • Station 3 – Food Distribution Tent (3 people per time block)
      • Food Distribution
        • We need one person with the hand cart bringing food from the Fellowship Hall to the tent
        • We need two people to load the food boxes
    • Station 4 – Fellowship Hall (2 people per time block)
      • Two people to help move boxes in the Fellowship Hall and float back and forth from station 3 to load as needed

There are 11,490 people groups in the world today. Of these, approximately 6,700 are identified as having less than two percent evangelical Christians. In addition, 3,000 people groups are considered unengaged meaning no one is attempting to reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Consequently, there are approximately 2.8 billion people who have never heard of the hope of the gospel and about 1 billion whom no one is attempting to reach.
Pray. Pray for our work with our partners and the people groups we are trying to reach with the gospel. Pray for our teams that travel to these partnerships.
Serve. Our Jail Ministry team goes to the local jail in Monroe on Sunday mornings at 9:00-10:00 am. Contact the office or Stacy Phillipus or David Foreman to volunteer.
Go. The GA Baptist Disaster Relief program provides many opportunities to be the “hands and feet of Jesus”. When a tragedy occurs many have a desire to help others. Check out how you can go and serve with this mission based partnership:
