2021 Campaign: “Numbers are Your Neighbors”

The numbers have names. Statistics are souls. We see the data, but do we see their faces? Over 13,000 children are in foster care in Georgia. So far in 2021 alone, over 417 human trafficking cases have been reported in Georgia, some likely in our county. These numbers are your neighbors. In response, Mission Georgia seeks to provide gospel-centered care to Georgia communities through our church and others. You can give online or on campus. There are 11,490 people groups in the world today. Of these, approximately 6,700 are identified as having less than two percent evangelical Christians. In addition, 3,000 people groups are considered unengaged meaning no one is attempting to reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Consequently, there are approximately 2.8 billion people who have never heard of the hope of the gospel and about 1 billion whom no one is attempting to reach.
Pray. Pray for our work with our partners and the people groups we are trying to reach with the gospel. Pray for our teams that travel to these partnerships.
Serve. Our Jail Ministry team goes to the local jail in Monroe on Sunday mornings at 9:00-10:00 am. Contact the office or Stacy Phillipus or David Foreman to volunteer.
Go. The GA Baptist Disaster Relief program provides many opportunities to be the “hands and feet of Jesus”. When a tragedy occurs many have a desire to help others. Check out how you can go and serve with this mission based partnership:
Give. There are several ways to support our partners financially.

This year our mission team delivered over 522 backpacks and 931 care packages. In the past, when the backpacks are delivered to each school, all of the children, faculty and school staff gather and the team prayed with them and performed a short skit to tell them about salvation and how much Jesus loves them. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the team was not permitted to do this. So with much hard work and creativity a video was filmed. Here are a few photos the trip and the video blooper movie.Backpack Mission Video-BLOOPERS
